My way of expressing emotions has always been through writing and photography. Water and nature have always been my comfort zone. Once I dreamt of showing the world what my eyes see. Armed with a digicam and my laptop, now I can!

A cheap memory of an expensive restaurant

The Chandelier at an Expensive restaurant

After our trip to the National Parliament of Thailand we decided to eat lunch at a restaurant near the Grand Palace.

I took this picture inside a really expensive restaurant. This place is memorable because I spent around 450 baht for lunch, I almost choked to death when I heard how much we had to pay. And to think the bill was already split to 17 people.

To get to this restaurant, we had to drive by a side street and we parked our van in a place that looks like a motorpool, though a lot cleaner than what we have here in the Philippines. Anyway, as I enter the restaurant through the back entrance, my mind was starting to process the surroundings, and it didn’t register that this place could be expensive since its very plain. Outside the table that our group chose, we can see the Democracy Monument and as my stomach grumbled, I had to listen to the many stories of my classmates.

Then we had to order food and it was served promptly, to everyone’s delight. We decided to have a light meal since this was our last day and we were scheduled for a cruise and buffet at the Chao Praya River.  But still, our bill didn’t really show that we tried to be thrifty that day.

Anyway, it was the last day and I really enjoyed my trip in Bangkok. I just wish I could’ve gone to their live shows and the beach at Pattaya. Maybe next time.
