A day in Baguio: Passport services available in Baguio this week!

For my last trip to Thailand, I was fortunate (unfortunate? I’m not so sure) to have been given the chance to arrange it. It was a little tiring because I had to coordinate with a couple of people and make sure that everyone in our group had the complete requirements.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of people who needed to have their passports renewed. During this time, passport renewal needed a month of processing, especially with the new biometric passports. There weren’t enough machines which could print this kind and most applicants had to wait for a month in order to claim their passports.

Thankfully, the process has improved a lot and now, passport processing is so much easier because the Department of Foreign Affairs are visiting towns and cities to collect documents from applicants for pre-evaluation.

For those who are residing in Baguio, this is your big chance. Bring all your documents to the City Hall for pre evaluation. DFA personnel will be evaluating your requirements on November 15, 2008 (Saturday) at the Multi Purpose Hall and passports will be issued in the same venue on December 5, 2008.
