How an OC Trotter Finally Met Her Match
January 31, 2010When I travel, I want everything in order. I have an obsession for details and at the same time a passion for time. I want to be given an exact clear copy of my itinerary days before my actual travel date (not a fan of “getting lost adventures” and last minute planning). My life consists mainly of international flights so I am forever on the lookout for cheap flights (it pays to save or else, say goodbye to that one of a kind poncho in Mexico or that adorable turquoise earrings in Haiti).
I simply cannot help it though. I am a frequent flyer and demand comfort and satisfaction in my flights. I boldly can brand QANTAS (kudos for it being one of Australia’s pioneer so expect flight traditions at its finest), synonymous to “quick and easy”; Singapore Airlines, I can say have crews that are surprisingly sweet and attentive (all you have to do is move your head to the left and a crew will surely ask if you need something – how about that).
As I have earlier mentioned, my experience in airlines are broad. When the news tells you that Jetstar Airlines is quite fond of having delayed flights, consider it an exaggeration because in my 5 years of travelling with them, an extreme case of hail storm was the only reason that delayed my flight. United Nation Airlines is one among the best – fast bookings and exquisite menus (the perks of having an international chef!)
International airfares, like the stock market, changes values or prices the way a girl quickly changes her mind. That is why, if you are fond of travelling or simply has a need to travel like me; it is good to have a reliable and trusted travel website on your side.
I met mine one day when I was online and is being attacked by my OC symptoms. The moment I browsed its homepage, I knew that it is going to be a long and fruitful relationship between the two of us. I have never seen a travel website this complete. It boasts not only of travel bookings, travel itineraries, promo seats but a quick overview of a country destination’s culture and great spots. When I thought I have had enough, I tried clicking its “customer care” button only to find out there are actually “real” ( I mean online and human) customer service representatives ready to answer my questions and “heal” my OC tendencies.
It’s been an 8-year relationship and it still is growing strong. I want details and details they give me. I want promo seats and they look for the cheapest. I want to be in Paris tomorrow and they say they have found an available seat. OC girl finally meets her match!
